Experts from EFPIA and DEEP collaborated with the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

The aim was to test concepts that optimized and digitised the regulatory pathway for the qualification of novel methodologies on the DEEP platform.

The use case was the development of the definition of Nocturnal Scratch as a concept of interest for patients with Atopic Dermatitis.

There are a range of digital measurement solutions that can measure this concept of interest.

The definition is now ready for qualification.

Next steps are to extend this to the Psoriasis context of use.
Missions in this program
We are aiming to create regulatory accepted digital measures for nocturnal scratch; a significant issue affecting patients with atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.

Digital Measures Development and Advocacy Programs
DEEP methods and tools are used for different digital measures programs to execute them end-to-end. DEEP also operates the Global Advocacy Network (GAN) that coordinates external advocacy efforts globally and delivers innovation projects with key authorities to design and implement a global blueprint for digital measure reviews and acceptance.
